The process of Photo Montage is taking your photos (from 35 mm, slides, digital, paper) and arranging them along with video clips, memorabilia, choreographed with music to set the mood along with transitions, panning and zooming as well as “Scrap book” style (old fashion) and “Hollywood” style special effects such as curtains moving, sparks flying, jets sounding, photos spinning, chapters, captions and rolling credits (just to name a few). No more plain, boring slide shows with pictures that change from one picture to the next like the ones our family used to show in the dark (unless you want them that way using our Simply Amazing package). Put your family photos in the movies! If you are looking online for other companies offering photo montage slide shows you will find all are not alike. Our company offers better than the best slide shows out there. In our world these slide shows are no longer just photomontage slide shows because we custom create them into video productions much like they do in “Hollywood” type movies. Our Pricing is Simply the Best Anywhere! Our Creative CUSTOM slideshow photomontage videos start at the low price of $49.50:

$.99 per photo (50 minimum) for the Amazingly Simple Package (simple slide show from your photos plus transitions); regularly $1.49, now just $1.25 - (limited time offer)  per photo (50 minimum) for our Amazingly Royal Package with everything included (FREE SCANNING, your photos, your music our special effects, transitions, panning & zooming, one title, 5 chapters, 10 captions & moving credits for the music). For extra chapters, captions or movie credits let us know what you have in mind and we will give you a quote. Also extra costs apply if you need extra copies of your Photomontage Video Show, want to add video clips or you want us to find music for your show or need to add a puzzle feature to your show. Everything else is included (yes, even scanning if needed)! Have all digital photos? There is a fast simple way of uploading directly to us via online via www.pando.com. This process allows us quick access to your photos so the turnaround time is cut in half and you receive your finished product quickly!

Extras

Digital Camera Video Clips:
We can easily add digital camera video clips to either of the above packages. We recommend clips of 2 minutes or less. Keep in mind that digital video takes more room than digital photos. Price is $15.00 for each clip up to 2 minutes. We can also add portions of your home movies to your photomontage show and the pricing depends upon the video editing involved and the home movies must be transferred to digital video (we can help with that too!) first.

Music:
If you provide your music on CDs (see FAQ), the price of choreographing music to your photos is included in the Amazingly ROYAL package and can be added to the Amazingly Simple packages for an additional fee of $3.50 each song. If you do not have original music CDs but would like to have music included, we can purchase the music online on your behalf. Please let us know on the Order Form (we will provide) what type of music you prefer (or if you have specific songs, artists, let us know the titles and names and we will do everything to locate them for you). There will be a charge of $3.50 per song for the ROYAL package for music we purchase on your behalf and $5.00 per song charge for the SIMPLE package.

Momentos:
Add Momentos to your DVD Photo Show - invitations, bulletins, tickets, brochures or flyers can be added by either having these items scanned onto a CD as a JPG or TIFF file (with minimum of 300dpi for anything 4x6 to 8x10; 600dpi for smaller items) or by sending us your momentos and we will scan them for you and place it in the show. The momentos will be returned along with your finished show and pictures. The price for each momento (maximum size of 8 1/2 x 11) is $1.00 each item you provide on CD or $2.00 each item we scan.

Gift Certificates:
Gift Certificates are another Amazing way to give someone a Slide show Photo montage DVD show. The gift certificates can be purchased for $50.00 each. Of course our Gift Certificates can be applied towards our other services we provide as well!

Rush Orders:
Rush orders are priced at $50.00 each Show (200 photos &less).

Extra DVD copies:
We provide one custom DVD cover (custom artwork designed for your project) with each video (slide show photomontage or movie transfer). A custom case cover is also included with all photo montage slide shows. Each additional DVD is priced at $15.00 each for Slideshow photomontage video shows and $20.00 for movie transfers.
The DVD Photo Show Shipping charge is a standard $10.50 each. There is extra shipping charges for any photos, photo and/or music CDs, memorabilia, etc that needs to be returned to the client.

Puzzle Photo:
With so many requests to include our fabulous Puzzle motion to our shows we have decided to include it permanently. Pick one photo that you would like to see as a puzzle and add it to any show you are ordering. The puzzle is an extra cost for all of our shows because we must painstakingly make a puzzle piece out of a piece of the photo that is picked. We love doing this for you but it does take lots of extra time. The price is $35.00 each photo “Puzzled”.

Movie Transfers to DVD

As most everyone has already heard, the camera companies have discontinued making 8mm camcorders. As we have seen, the projectors are on their way out as well. We all know that if your camera is still working you can hook it up to the TV and watch your movies via your camera. BUT what happens once the camera stops working! Wouldn’t you love a better way to watch your home movies? What about preserving your old home movies?

We can transfer all of your home movies to long lasting DVDs (if you want really long lasting ask for the Gold archive DVDs) that you can easily insert into a DVD player and watch your home movies on your TV (via DVD player) just as you watch any other movie you purchase.

What about putting a bunch of your home movies on a DVD complete with titles, credits, music and chapters/scenes? Just like the movies you buy. It starts up with music and you can select to play the movie (which would be all of your movies one after another) or select various chapters or scenes taking you to specific movies to be watched (without having to watch the entire movie).

What type of home movies can be transferred? If a movie is not crumbling or damaged it should be able to be transferred. Of course if the movie has been exposed to light or the elements the movie itself can be affected. All the more reason to get your movies transferred as soon as possible before the bad stuff happens to it!

The older home movies will be on reels of various sizes and the later home movies were contained in videotape cartridges. Either way we can help you in transferring to DVDs.

*We use the top most quality long lasting DVD discs. However, as everyone knows the DVD disc will last as long as it is cared for correctly. The grooves in the DVD can be clogged by finger prints, food and debris and render the DVD unreadable by the DVD player. The DVD disc also can be scratched rendering it unreadable. Since we do not store/keep your movies once they are delivered to you, it is advisable that you purchase an extra copy for those “just in case” times.


VHS/ VHS-C / BETAMAX:
We all have those cabinets, storage and boxes full of VHS, home movie VHS-C and Betamax tapes we have saved over the years-it is time to clean it all out!

You know the VCR will be a dinosaur soon and the VHS tapes can be ruined being played in old equipment-getting stuck and breaking tapes you wanted to save. What are you going to do when you pick up a VHS tape and find it has gotten old and is brittle, stretched and not playable. At that point we can't help you. Contact us before that happens!

What about those camcorder VHS-C tapes of your kids and the weddings and parties? Do you have home movies you have recorded in VHS or VHS-C tapes? Don't ever worry again whether those tapes will wear out or break or unravel. We can transfer your VHS tapes onto high quality long lasting DVD* discs

What about those special movies you recorded or events on TV you recorded and want to keep? We can save them for you by transferring to DVD discs!

We do basic VHS, VHS-C and BETAMAX transfers to DVD with the label printed on the DVD. If you would like editing of the video to remove unwanted footage or make other changes we can help you with the editing once the transfer is completed.

What does it cost? Each transfer of 2 hrs is $20.00. We recommend for good quality that only 2 hrs be placed on each DVD. Need bad video removed/edited out? Our Video editing pricing is the BEST anywhere at $35.00 per hour.

Each DVD for transfer comes complete with Custom DVD Label (you provide the photo or we will design label).

8 & 16 mm Movie Reels & Camcorder Cassettes
Remember the old fashioned movie camera and how you had to take the film in for developing and what you picked up was a reel of skinny film? Whatever happened to those reels of film of your children’s dance recitals, piano performances and what about the many birthday parties and weddings and baby showers? What about the Camcorder that came next with the cartridges? You didn’t have to have them developed but the only way to play them was hook them up to the television set and watch the movies or record the movies on the VCR recorder if you had one. Not to mention the vacation films and the movies of the baby’s first days at home, first Christmas, the christening, first steps and what about high school and college graduation? We can help you take your really old fashioned Amazing home movie Memories on reels or camcorder cartridges and transfer them onto long lasting DVD* discs. We can also take it a step further by editing your home movies (once they are transferred to video) and remove the parts where you took movies of your pants leg when you forgot you had the camera turned on. We can add titles and rolling credits and special effects and turn your home movies into award winning cinema film productions.

Video/ Photo Editing

Our videographers and photographers can help you with any project large or small. Send us your photos and movies and we can help by providing professional editing to give you excellent results!

Photo editing- we can fix red eye, correct the color, fix faded photos, fix photos that have been written on with ink on the backside and it has seeped thru to the photo, we can remove something or someone in the photo and take another part of the photo and add it where the removed item was, we can take a portion of one photo and add it to another photo. Let us know what you would like done with your photo(s) and we will let you know what is involved and the cost.  The cost for Photo Editing is $30.00 per hour. Keep in mind some projects will not take up an entire hour and we do bill in increments of 15 minutes.

Video editing- We can remove the unwanted areas of your home movies, re-arrange movie sections, add transitions and special effects as well as captions, titling and rolling credits and turn your home movies into movie blockbusters that you will watch over and over again. Your transformed (edited) movies will appear just like movies you purchase at the store complete with the opening screen with Play Movie, special scenes and once the movie starts there will be a title and in between each section in the movie where there is a break (piecing difference movies together) there will be transitions and or special effects. We can also add your favorite music as a background just like the big screen movies. Pricing for our Video Editing is really special as most editors charge anywhere from $75 to $150 per hour. Our charge is $35.00 per hour with an hour minimum since video editing is so labor intensive.

Video Editing
“Video editing is the process of re-arranging or modifying segments of motion video and sound recordings to form an edited version of the motion video and audio. The goals of video editing are similar to film editing-examining motion footage, removing and adding additional motion video footage and sounds, the isolation of desired footage, and the arrangement of footage in time to synthesize a new piece of footage.” (description from dictionary).
With today’s digital age, more and more people are buying video cameras and filming their child’s events such as their birthdays, graduations, bar or bat mitzvahs, Christenings, First Communions, Quinceaneras, Sweet Sixteen parties, Proms, engagements, weddings, new babies and more! Of course what is a vacation without the video camera recording all the fun times traveling as a family.

Once the parties and vacationing is over the question is what to do with the video? Of course you can hook the camera up to your television set (or can you?) and watch it but how much recorded video can you keep in your video camera (whether on a memory card or hard drive)? The next option is transferring the video from the camera to either your computer or a DVD (depends upon the camera). Saving video on your computer can be time consuming and then becomes the problem of how much room on your computer do you have to keep the video? You will find yourself running out of room quickly. Video takes up a lot of hard drive space. Soon you are planning external drives to keep the video. Okay, then how to show the video once it is stored on the computer? Call everyone into your bedroom and gather around the computer screen to watch the video?

Let’s say you figured out how to get the video to your computer or even a DVD so you can play the movies on your TV. Everyone grumbles when the camera shot is on someone’s pant’s leg because they forgot the camera was on. Or someone moved the camera too quickly while still shooting making everyone nauseas watching the video movie. Too many bad video shots! Don’t you wish you could remove them? Yes, you could if you have the video editor program on your computer. And if you had a program how long would it take you to learn that program? The learning curve on photo or video editing software is very steep and most people don’t have the time or inclination to venture into that world.

What can Amazing Memories do for you? We can take your home movies (whether they are the really old time reel-to-reel 8mm films, the cartridge data films or the new memory card or DVD videos) and remove all of the pieces of video you don’t wish in your final movie and turn the movie into a “Hollywood” type movie much like you purchase in the stores and play again and again in your DVD player hooked to your Big Screen TV.

Amazing Memories videographers have years of editing experience. With this experience they can remove all the unwanted video, add thrilling transitions between the chapters or scenes, add titles and rolling credits, add special effects the likes of “Hollywood” type movies and even add a background music to Rev up the movie.

How does it work?

Supply the Video
You supply the video via digital format (if you have the old fashioned reel or cartridge film for 8mm camera or camcorder we can first transfer the film to digital format – see our Home Movie to DVD transfer section for details and pricing) along with a detail list of any scenes you wish removed or moved around and details of any titles or credits you wish listed.

Discussion
We will discuss any special effects with you and make an estimate of time needed for the project. Usually people turn on the camera and start shooting but every time they pause the camera it creates a new movie so when we receive someone’s video to edit we can have many, many movies to actually edit into one big movie. Once we give an estimate of time we can also give you a quote for the editing cost. Once you pay the editing cost (must be done before we can begin) and we begin work and we find something dramatically different than we discussed and quoted out then additional or less time may be needed and therefore more money or a credit due you is needed and will be handled accordingly.

Time
Time – How long does this process take? The process can take a few days to a few weeks (from digital format) depending upon the type of movies and what needs to be edited and processed. If you need your final movie completed for a special occasion it is best to get everything to us at least a month in advance. If you are compiling some home movies with photos and other items in a photomontage, slideshow video then it would be best to start the process even a few more weeks more in advance than previously stated (in other words get it to us a month and half in advance and we will be sure to have it ready for you before your event).

Cost
Cost- check around and you will find that most valuable video editors charge upwards from $75.00 per hour for video editing. At the present we are able to offer the low price of $35.00 per hour with an hour minimum charge. Until someone actually does the video editing themselves they won’t understand that video editing is a time consuming project and not to be processed quickly. We will place an initial estimate in the beginning of the project and that amount will be due and payable before processing begins. Should the editing time be more than expected then the remainder of the amount owed will be due and payable before shipping the final product.

Photo Editing
Photo editing- we automatically enhance every photo that comes to us for our AWESOME photo show videos.  We can also do special requests- as we did with this photo to the right. The first photo shows a gentleman in a dark photo. He has dark circles under his eyes and a white spot on the top of his head from a light shining on him- he wanted the circles reduced and his hair normal- we reduced his circles and adjusted his hair in the second (middle photo) and he also wanted the photo to look like an old photo which was done in the third (far right) photo. -Send us your request via email and we will send you a quote in 24 hrs!

The first photo to the right, is very old and has ink and water damage that can be seen on the dress bottom and on the wall.  It needed restorative help!  The dress was painstakingly recreated and the wall repaired to remove the damage and reveal the fabulous antique photo on the right.  If you have a photo with damage, send us an email with the details and we will send you a quote within 24 hrs.  We know these are your prized one and only photo(s) and will take care as if they were out own.  We can scan the photos as soon as we receive them and send them right back to you quickly or you can take your photo to your nearby scanning company and have them scan at 300dpi onto a CD and send us the CD.

The photo to the right shows a typical problem with taking photos. We can take your problem photos and enhance them adjusting their lighting as well as enhancing the color and textures: resulting in the photo on the right! Need photos adjusted and enhanced but don't want a photo show video? Send us an email with the number of photos you want repaired and we will send you a quote in 24 hrs! You can send us your photos via email or if your photos are large in size you might want to try large file programs such as You Send It or Pando that allow sending large files without any loss of quality or burned on a CD & sent to you via snail mail.
