Let's just jump right in and talk about the camera. I didn't think I'd ever want to use a digital camera. There wasn't anything I liked about the early digital cameras. I was a die hard SLR fan. I loved all that could be done with all the lens and special effects. But what I never liked was having to tote all that heavy equipment everywhere, practically getting a hernia each time, just to get a few special pictures. That was finally the clincher when the camera manufacturers started making better and better cameras that were lightweight plus they could do so much.  Well, times have really changed and I'm on my second digital camera and haven't developed 35 mm film in a few years. I'm spoiled. I love the way I take as many photos as I want (I don't have a limit I have many mega memory cards (did I say I'm spoiled!) and being able to view the photos on the camera as I take them and then coming home and slipping the memory card into the port and uploading them to the computer and being able to do whatever I want with the photos right away.                  Amazing Mary

Digital Cameras, what a relief!

What a great idea!
What a great idea you have about putting my photos on a dvd. My friend's wife recommended you and I had to come check it out. My wife and I are going thru our photos because her parents have their 40th wedding anniversary coming at the end of this year - Thanks!                                      Ned

Digital is all new to me!

I really want to buy one of those new digital cameras (I'm tired of people telling me I'm crazy for paying to develop my pictures) but it is all overwhelming to me. Which camera to buy? What to look for in a camera? Can anyone give me some simple tips?                   Shan

TO SHAN

There is a lot to know about digital cameras but most people just find out the basics by asking the sales people- sometimes it is correct or good information and sometimes it isn't - I would suggest figuring out your budget for your purchase and find a good quality point and shoot camera with at least 5-7 megapixels with wide angle and zoom lense by a manufacture you recognize and then start taking the pictures and not just one photo of the same thing, many photos with many different settings so you can get use to what setting does what to your photo (bracketing). The good thing is you can check out the photo right then when you take it and if you don't like it you can delete and go on to the next photo. One final thing- be sure you get plenty of memory. If you are going on vacation get at least 1gigabyte (or 2 if it is a long vacation)- Good Luck                 Kent

aaaaaaaaaaaaiii

It was such a joy to be able to create the last show. I got to meet one of the people organizing the surprise wedding anniversary and she told me enough about some of the photos that I picked up so much that while I was putting together the show (she allowed me to organize the photos!) the more I handled them the more I felt close to them. Like we were family. I guess after spending hours and hours with someone one could get to know people. It was also fun to find out later that the party was a complete surprise to the people celebrating their wedding anniversary and that everyone laughed and cried with joy and remembrance. Just a moment to jump in here to tell you about the great time we had putting together a photo montage for a wedding presentation. They rushed us the photos at the last minute because they saw our website and couldn't resist - we worked with them to figure out whose photos were whose (there were family photos as well as baby photos of the bride & groom). And we got the show together and had some extra time to spend on the special effects, credits and added music. They couldn't wait to tell us - in fact the mother called to tell us it was a fabulous celebration with the slide show and they are going to gather the photos for a video show for the wedding photos. Can't wait!  Amazing Mary
